LottyBlue Vintage Inspired Apron - The Lola Description
Introducing the vintage inspired aprons from LottyBlue in 3 stunning designs. All of the LottyBlue range of aprons have been designed and made in the UK.
I have drawn on all my nostalgic memories of seeing my own grandparents and aunties wearing aprons to help me to design my own range of vintage themed aprons. The designs are both classic and stylish taking their look from the l1940's and 50's where apron wearing was extremely important and a necessary requirement for the post war housewife's.
The Lola apron is made from 100% cotton. There are two fabrics which make up this apron a beautiful vintage yellow Rose with a grey dot pattern on a cream background, the pocket are in a lovely Panama vintage green and the edges of the pockets are finished in a cream bias binding. The Lola apron is fastened by button around the neck. The neck line is very fathering with rounded shaping all the edges are finished in cream bias binding .
In keeping with the styling of the 1940's the Lola apron is slightly pointed at the front which gives it a beautiful line when worn. The apron is tied at the back The Lola apron has been embroidered on one pocket with the LottyBlue logo in a complementary colour which blends in with the panama fabric of the pocket
The 1940's have inspired this war time house wife's apron, it draws on the classic apron styles of this period but the apron has been reinvented for today's house wife's . The Lola is name and styled after the Lola Lamour the fantastic singer & entertainer that specialises in music from the 1920's to the 1950's. You can see her modelling the apron in the images and Lola also starring in our recent video:
The apron is 100 percent cotton and can be washed with similar items on a 40 wash.
